At the International Builders' Show, in Las Vegas, last week, LP Building Solutions shared updates to its latest LP Elements fencing product line. The Elements fencing products are designed to look, cut, and install like wood, but are made from engineered wood. The products have the low maintenance of vinyl and are more durable than wood, according to LP.
A six-foot version of the product was introduced at the International Builders’ Show (IBS), last year. At this year’s IBS show, the company introduced an eight-foot version.
LP tested the product for high-velocity hurricane and wind zones, where wind exceeds 200 MPH. The product also meets the Miami-Dade and Broward County wind-load requirements—the only wood fence to do so, according to the company. It was also tested against 1.75-inch hail, as well as rocks and baseballs up to 84 MPH for impact damage.
Additionally, the Elements fencing product has been tested to withstand concentrated UV exposure in Arizona. LP claims the product also maintains integrity against splintering, cracking, and warping and also doesn’t peel or chip under extreme sun exposure.
Seven prefinished color options are available: Mojave Ridge, Prairie Sand, Hilo Ash, Michigan Mist, Carolina Cedar, Key Largo Surf, and Portland Storm. Unlike other fencing products, LP Elements Performance Fencing does not have to be stained every few years, according to the company.
