Paul Marvin, a fourth-generation member of the window-making family, has been named president of The Marvin Cos., the Warroad, Minn.-based business announced. He succeeds Susan Marvin, who along with SVP for Operations George Marvin will become vice-chairs of The Marvin Cos. board effective Jan. 1.
Paul Marvin has served for the past three years as vice president of sales, the company noted in an Oct. 23 news release. He will be responsible for the Marvin, Integrity, and Infinity brands, and will report directly to Chairman and CEO John "Jake" Marvin.
Meanwhile, Susan Marvin, who has been president the past 20 years, will work on "market-facing initiatives and opportunities, as well as company and window industry related governance," the company said. George Marvin, who has been an SVP for two decades, will continue to play a role at Marvin units . Tecton Industries in Fargo, N.D., and Marvin Wood Products in Baker City, Ore., "as well as assist in projects focused on longer-term manufacturing opportunities. "
Marvin has 5,000 employees in 12 factories nationwide.
