Kwikset’s newest smart lock, Kevo Contemporary, is made to match the design aesthetics of modern and contemporary-style homes.
The lock’s Touch-to-Open technology allows its users to lock or unlock their front doors with just a touch of a finger, enabled whenever an authorized device is within Bluetooth range. Smart device-enabled controls allow users to grant electronic keys to other smart device users, and to keep track of who is entering and leaving their home with lock notifications.
Kevo Contemporary is designed to connect with a large number of smart home products, including smart thermostats and video doorbells. Nest or Honeywell Total Connect Comfort users can set certain home temperature adjustments to trigger automatically when Kevo is locked or unlocked, while Ring and Skybell HD users may see and speak to front door guests before unlocking Kevo remotely. Alexa and Kevo Plus users can control their lock with voice commands, and IFTTT users can set applets that trigger certain smart home functions when Kevo is locked or unlocked.
