Boral Roofing added a line of hail-rated concrete tiles that the company says can withstand the impact of 2-inch hail stones propelled at up to 104 feet per second. Storm Series’ class-4 rating (certified via the Roof Covering Impact Certification Program) means the tiles may help homeowners in some areas qualify for insurance reductions, Boral says. They’re available in the company’s Rocky Mountain, Heartland, and Texas regions.www.boralna.com. 800.669.8453.
