L.J. Smith Stair Systems’ Linear Collection now includes a Metal Panel System, a series of modern-style, seven-level run panels applicable to open tread stairways, kneewall stairways, and level run applications.
“The seven-level run panels are available to meet rail heights of three different sizes with five-rake panel widths available,” says Craig Kurtz, president of L.J. Smith Stair Systems. “The pre-assembled nature of the panels speeds up installation. The system also includes fast-install spacer newels, panel posts, square nose designed treads and handrails.”
The panels are available pre-built to fit their application, and require only a few screw holes to be drilled for installation. Each rake and level panel is predrilled on the top rung, and comes with screws for attachment to the handrail and for flush mount or curb wall installations on the bottom of each panel.
“This stairway system boasts a ‘welded’ look that complements most modern or urban decors,” says Kurtz. “It’s just as fitting for accessing a loft area in a townhouse as it would be as an eye-catching stairway system in a contemporary home.”
The system is available in low sheen black as a standard finish, with additional Pantone paint colors or powder coats available for special order. Handrails are available in red oak or hard maple. ljsmith.com
