Georgia-Pacific (GP) announced today it will built a 320,000-square-foot, $150 million lumber production facility in Albany, Ga. , that will produce 300 million board feet of lumber annually once it comes online in late fall 2019.

Construction at the plant, to be located at the Abany-Dougherty Industrial Park, will begin this year. It's expected to employ more than 130 full-time employees, handling wood provided by roughly 180 log trucks every day.

The company's website added:
