

Wood framing remains the overwhelmingly dominant choice for single-family, new construction homes in the United States. According to National Association of Home Builders analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data, 93% of new homes were wood-framed in 2018. Wood’s share has remained steady over the past five years and number of wood-framed, new construction single-family homes rose to 778,000 in 2018, according to the data.
