U.S. Western Region Leads in Job Gains Year Over Year

The west posted the highest rate of non-farm employment growth year-over-year in September 2019, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The region also posted strong growth in the construction sector and several states, including Washington, Arizona, and Nevada, posted strong year-over-year employment growth in the sector, the National Association of Home Builders' (NAHB) Eye on Housing blog reports.
