Tolko Industries will be shutting down operations across all its British Columbia mills for two weeks over the holiday season in response to low lumber prices and high log costs, the Vancouver Sun reports. The curtailment will reduce output by around 21 million board feet of lumber production and 10 million square feet of panel production. The curtailment continues a pattern for Tolko, which permanently closed its Quest sawmill in Quesnel in the summer and its Kelowna sawmill last week.
