Martinsville, Va.-based The Lester Group appointed Dana Cowart as its new president. The strategic appointment is effective immediately, as the company seeks to leverage Cowart’s experience in the industry to drive forward its strategic initiatives and enhance operational effectiveness.

Cowart joins The Lester Group with a background spanning over 25 years in the building supply sector. Most recently, Cowart held several executive roles at TAL Building Centers. During his decade at TAL Building Centers, Cowart served in various capacities including vice president of acquisitions, vice president of sales and marketing, director of operations, regional manager, and general manager.
Prior to TAL Building Centers, Cowart was part of the OrePac Building Supply organization and Lanoga/Pro Build.
