Steves & Sons, a Virginia-based distributor of doors, announced it is donating 8,800 doors to Habitat for Humanity Restores.
The firm sent five truckloads of interior and exterior doors, according to a press release sent today. Those doors will be redistributed throughout 21 Virginia cities in Habitat for Humanity ReStores.
“Philanthropy has always been a part of our company’s DNA,” said Gloria Steves Dilley, vice president of Steves & Sons. “Wherever we have a business presence, we try to focus on lifting up those in need, providing genuine caring and a human touch, along with whatever aid or assistance is needed. Our ongoing partnership with Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity affords us that opportunity.”
The Habitat for Humanity ReStores are retail outlets selling new and gently used building and home improvement supplies at greatly reduced prices. Profits go to support Habitat's efforts of building affordable housing statewide.
