More than 80% of rental store owners and managers expect 2011 to produce better results than 2010, according to the latest American Rental Association (ARA) Economic Survey of members.
More than 34% of survey respondents expect revenues to increase by double digits this year compared to last year. Another 46% of respondents expect as least a single-digit increase. Only about half of all respondents reported revenue increases between 2009 and 2010, while almost 30% reported declines in revenue during that time period.
Roughly 70% said they expected to spend more on new equipment this year. "Clearly ARA members are more optimistic about 2011 and have a positive mindset," says ARA executive Vice President and CEO Christine Wehrman."
