The Chelan location of Lake Chelan Building Supply was destroyed by what has been dubbed the "Reach Fire" that occurred over the weekend. Lake Chelan Building Supply is a local lumberyard in Washington, three hours northeast of Seattle. This store was a satellite facility; the company's main location in Manson, Wash., remains safe and intact.

The Reach Fire, which affected the entire Chelan area, was started by lightning. It destroyed as many as 75 homes, forced 3,000 residents to evacuate, and caused 9,000 residents in the Chelan area to lose power over the weekend. By Sunday, 7,000 had their power restored.
