ODL purchased Ontario, Canada-based Tru Tech Doors. ODL said the acquisition supports the company’s commitment to long-term growth and innovation.
“It is a very exciting day for ODL, Tru Tech Doors, and our family of brands,” David Klein, president and chief operating officer of ODL, said in a prepared statement. “Our strategy is to be the leading solutions provider for the door system, and now, with the ability to manufacture doors, we have begun the journey of delivering that complete door solution to our customers.”
Tru Tech Doors is a steel and fiberglass door manufacturer founded by John Careri. As part of the acquisition, Careri will join the ODL team as executive vice president and president of the door division, leading ODL’s door manufacturing and development efforts as the company expands throughout North America.
“Tru Tech Doors is thrilled to join the ODL family. Their industry-leading products, service, and marketing support are simply second-to-none,” Careri said. “They are an ideal parent company as we look to expand our door product further in North America.”
The acquisition of Tru Tech Doors is ODL’s third acquisition in the last 16 months. ODL Doors, built by Tru Tech, will be available to select U.S. and Canadian doorglass customers.
