
Nation’s Best acquired Patrick Building Supply & Rental in Stuart, Va., and its sister store Mountain View Home & Hardware in King, N.C. The acquired stores joined Nation’s Best’s previously acquired Palmetto Home Centers in Charleston, S.C.
“This two-location home center, built by Scott and Tammy Moore, is the kind of well-organized, expertly-merchandised businesses that if a perfect fit with the Nation’s Best partnership model,” Kevin Pierce, regional vice president of the Southeast and North regions of Nation’s Best, said in a prepared statement. “The Moore family has created superior stores perfectly tailored to the needs of each location’s community. And with their already strong foundation, we see continued growth potential in these markets.”
According to a news release, Scott Moore will continue to spend time on the construction business and Tammy Moore will remain with the business, overseeing the home and decor category.
“We’re very happy to see Nation’s Best step in to take what we’ve built and grow it to the next level,” the Moores said in a joint statement.. “Their resources and expertise will allow both locations to expand their selection of lumber and building materials while enhancing our exceptional home improvement product offerings.”
Both Patrick Building Supply & Rental and Mountain View Home & Hardware will maintain their existing brand names and key leadership team members will remain with the company. Nation’s Best will provide strategic and financial support to help drive “optimal growth and profitability.”
Nation’s Best, founded in 2019, is a member-owner of Do it Best Corp., a U.S. based hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry.
