Composite decking and railing manufacturer MoistureShield has expanded its distribution footprint in Tennessee and Minnesota through an agreement with BlueLinx. BlueLinx branches in Erwin, Tenn., and Duluth, Minn., will now carry the full line of MoistureShield wood-plastic composite decking products to dealers.

“We are excited to continue our national expansion with two new BlueLinx locations in Tennessee and Minnesota, Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales for MoistureShield, said in a news release. “We look forward to helping more BlueLinx customers improve their outdoor spaces with our moisture-resistant, low-upkeep composite deck boards.”

As part of the company’s growth strategy, BlueLinx has added MoistureShield products to 16 locations in the past 12 months, for an overall total of 31 stocking locations nationwide.

“As stay-at-home leisure remains a trend in 2021, we’re pleased to offer MoistureShield’s cutting-edge decking solutions in these regions,” Mike Wilson, vice president of product management for BlueLinx, said. “With decking season quickly approaching, our combined expertise and commitment to customer service will ensure that our dealers are ready to kick it off with versatile, beautiful deck products.”

All MoistureShield decking products feature the Solid Core Difference for advanced strength and moisture resistance, and can be installed directly on the ground, in the ground, or under water. The manufacturer's Vision product line features its DiamondDefense Coating, offering scratch, stain, and damage on impact resistance. The product line features the option of CoolDeck Technology, which MoistureShield says reduces heat absorption by up to 35% compared to traditional capped composite boards in a similar color. The company also recently introduced Elevate, an entry-level capped composite decking product.

MoistureShield is a division of Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, and its composite decking and railing products are manufactured from 95% recycled content. The manufacturer first entered a distribution agreement with BlueLinx in August 2019. At the time, BlueLinx agreed to distribute MoistureShield products from its Atlanta and Chicago distribution centers.

Marietta, Ga.-based BlueLinx has a distribution footprint serving 50 states and distributes its range of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 customers across the United States.
