The total market share of non-site built single-family homes was 3% in 2018, a relative stagnation compared to 2017, according to the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) analysis of Census Bureau Survey of Construction data. The share is expected to rise moderately in the short-term, because of the ongoing labor shortage and the need to lift labor productivity amid declining housing affordability.
