McCoy’s Building Supply finalized the purchase of 8.7 acres of land in New Caney, Texas.
“With the incredible growth in East Montgomery County, McCoy’s was making several deliveries a day into the area,” Phil Hutchinson, real estate manager for McCoy’s, said. “Our new location will be the most convenient destination for home improvement products for thousands of customers in the New Caney area.”
The company said an official timeline for groundbreaking and store construction in New Caney has not been announced. McCoy’s recently celebrated the grand opening of its 86th store in Lubbock, Texas, at the end of 2023 and is under construction to open a new store in Lockhart, Texas, in the spring.
McCoy’s stores carry building materials for a wide range of projects as well as home maintenance supplies. The future New Caney store’s interior retail area will be arranged according to McCoy’s easy-in, easy-out design offering tools, paint, household essentials, and more. The store will also include a large, covered, drive-thru lumberyard and a fleet of forklifts and delivery trucks.
San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply operates 86 stores, three distribution centers, and two millwork facilities in three states.
