McCoy’s Building Supply promoted Mike Cook to the role of regional manager. In the new role, he will oversee 12 McCoy’s stores in the greater Houston area.
“I’m so excited for Mike to take on this new role,” Ron Van Winkle, vice president of operations, said in a news release. “His ability to grow and serve our business while also expanding his leadership skills made him the right choice for this new opportunity. I know he will be a great mentor for our store teams.”
Cook joined McCoy’s Building Supply 13 years ago as part of the company’s management development program working at the Tomball, Texas, store. He served as assistant manager at several locations before being promoted to the role of store manager. Most recently, Cook was the store manager in Cleveland, Texas.
Cook said he is excited about the new role and looks forward to connecting with customers across the region while working with the dealer’s team members.
San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply operates 85 stores, three distribution centers, and two millwork facilities in three states.
