At the Texas Association of Builders’ (TAB) recent Excellence in Leadership dinner, the TAB presented McCoy’s Building Supply with its 2022 “Philanthropist of the Year” award. According to the TAB, McCoy’s has supported military and veterans’ organizations, college students, youth organizations, and families in need of affordable housing.
McCoy’s philanthropic efforts have recognize that as the Texas population has increased, the cost of housing has grown substantially and affordable places to build homes have decreased, according to the TAB. McCoy’s most recently donated $1 million to Habitat for Humanity to purchase land in five Texas counties to build new homes for disadvantaged families.
San Marcos, Texas-based McCoy’s Building Supply operates 85 stores, three distribution centers, and two millwork facilities in three states.
