After the Carr Fire in the summer of 2018 nearly destroyed Weyerhaeuser’s distribution center in Shasta County, Calif., west of Redding, the company reopened its distribution center last week. The county's most destructive and deadliest wildfire leveled seven of Weyerhaeuser's buildings and destroyed most of the location's inventory. Product that didn’t burn couldn’t be salvaged to sell. The 15 employees in the Redding facility are now selling to lumber yards and home improvement stores in Northern California.
