Knauf recently completed its acquisition of USG nearly 17 months after first announcing it intentions. The acquisition created a global building materials company from the two complementary businesses. An analysis from Cleveland-based research firm The Freedonia Group finds the acquisition positions Knauf as a drywall industry giant, strengthening Knauf’s competitive position in the drywall and building plaster industry.
