Michael Leon has been appointed as the senior vice president and chief accounting officer of Jeld-Wen, the company announced in an 8-K filing. Leon will replace Scott Vining in the role.
Vining will be leaving Jeld-Wen after the closure of the first quarter to ensure a “smooth transition,” according to the company. Jeld-Wen said Vining’s departure is not related to any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies, or practices.
The company said Leon has extensive financial and accounting experience, including financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and internal audits. Leon served as the chief accounting officer and corporate controller of Sealed Air Corporation from 2018 to 2023 and also served as the company’s assistant corporate controller for four years. Leon has previously served in various accounting and finance positions with SPX Corporation, United Technologies Corporation, and Goodrich Corporation.
