Fortress Building Products hired Tommy Junker as the company’s product manager for cladding and decking. According to the company, Junker will play a large role in bringing Fortress’ latest segment, cladding, to market at the end of the third quarter.
“Tommy’s experience with both residential and commercial product lines, as well as his knowledge of the commercial specifications process, will be extremely valuable as Fortress enters the cladding category,” Bill Ross, director of the composite category at Fortress Building Products, said in a news release. “We’re excited to welcome Tommy to the team.”
In the product manager role, Junker will be responsible for building and sustaining strong product categories, meeting market demands, and providing long-term financial success for cladding and decking product categories. The newly appointed product manager will bring flooring sales, product development, and management experience to the role with Fortress Building Products. Junker most recently served as the business unit manager in the luxury vinyl category for the Swiff-Train Company.
Fortress said the company’s cladding offerings will work in harmony with Fortress fencing, decking, pergolas, railing, framing, lighting, and fastener systems.
Texas-based Fortress Building Products is a building materials supplier and manufacturer for the residential, multifamily, and commercial industries. The Fortress family of brands includes Fortress Railing Products, Fortress Fence Products, OZCO Building Products, Fortress Deck, and Fortress Framing.
