Digger Specialties, Inc. (DSI), a supplier of aluminum railing in North America, added a new manufacturing facility in Williamsport, Pa. The new facility is under construction with production scheduled to begin during the first half of 2022, according to the company.

“The new DSI manufacturing and distribution plant in eastern Pennsylvania will quickly service and reach our northeastern customers for railing, fencing, and columns,” Larry Boysts, DSI’s vice president of sales and marketing, said in a prepared statement. “We are planning for significant growth by capturing market share with an extensive and superior group of building products to help grow our customers’ base of business.”

The Williamsport facility will help DSI expand its production capacity to meet growing demand for its outdoor living products, which includes Westbury Aluminum Railing, PolyRail Railing, and CourtYard & Regis Aluminum Fencing. The company added a third powder coating line at its original manufacturing plant in Bremen, Ind., in April 2021. DSI also operates a production facility in Carthage, Mo.

The Pennsylvania facility will begin operations manufacturing aluminum and vinyl fencing, as well as vinyl railing, according to DSI. Westbury Aluminum Railing will be added to the manufacturing mix at the plant in the second half of 2022. The facility will also stock DSI composite and fiberglass columns.

“The operations team at Digger Specialties is excited for the opportunity to add needed capacity with a product offering in Montgomery, Pa.,” Chris Weldy, DSI’s vice president of operations, said. “As our business continues to grow across the country, we find it necessary to grow regionally to help us support our strong sales across our expanding product lines.”

DSI is a manufacturer of aluminum and vinyl railing, aluminum and vinyl fencing, composite, fiberglass, and aluminum architectural columns, gates, and deck and fence lighting.
