L&W Supply announced a series of six branch management promotions within the company. According to the building products distributor, branch managers are responsible for managing daily branch operations, cultivating customer relationships, guiding associates, and executing branch growth and profitability.
The new branch managers include: Mike Packer in Fayetteville, N.C.; Ken Wong in San Francisco, Calif.; Arley Polanco in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Christian Daniels in Roscoe, Ill.; Richard Brown in Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Ron Shillingburg in Fisherville, Va.
Packer joined L&W Supply in 2021 as an outside sales representative. The new branch manager brings over two decades of industry experience in construction distribution to the team, according to L&W Supply.
“As a life-long resident of Fayetteville, Mike’s knowledge of the market will be invaluable to the success of his new team,” district manager Dan Hinkle said. “We look forward to seeing him and his team continue to provide exceptional service to Fayetteville-area contractors.
Wong first joined L&W Supply in 2013 at the San Francisco location. Since joining the company, Wong has held many roles, including branch supervisor and region operations manager.
“Ken’s local experience and in-depth knowledge make him a great fit for the San Francisco market,” northern California and Nevada district manager Dave Hovekamp said. “We are excited to have him as part of the northern California team.”
Polanco joined L&W Supply six years ago as an inside sales associate in Miami before being promoted to outside sales in 2018. Polanco transferred to L&W Supply’s West Palm Beach greenfield branch and was named the Florida Atlantic district top outside sales award winner in 2022.
“Avery’s resume is impressive, but what sticks out to us is how her drive motivates those around her,” Florida Atlantic district manager Mitchell Mathews said. “We look forward to seeing her competitive spirit elevate the associates and customers of West Palm Beach.”
Daniels joined the distributor’s internal audit team in 2019 and became an inside sales associate at L&W Supply’s West Allis, Wis., location in 2022.
“Christian’s competitive nature and deep understanding of the unique processes, which separate L&W Supply from our competition, make him a great fit for this role,” upper Midwest district manager Mark Woodsum said. “I am excited to welcome him back to his home market as he supports our continued growth and customer service efforts.”
Brown first joined the company in 1996 as an operations supervisor before transitioning to outside sales in 2017. He is currently attending L&W Supply’s branch manager training program and will graduate in August.
“Richard’s leadership, work ethic, and vast experience in sales and operations will enhance our market-leading customer service in the Chattanooga market,” Brian Murphy, mid-south director for L&W Supply, said.
Shillingburg is a 25-year industry professional who joined L&W Supply in 2017, gaining experience at the company as a CDL driver and boom operator. Most recently, he served as a delivery service manager in Manassas, Va.
“Ron has an incredible growth mindset and passion for service,” said Chesapeake District Manager Jim Nix. “His dedication to our values and goals makes him a perfect fit for this role.”
