Koopman Lumber acquired a Pembroke, Mass., store location from Sampson Lumber. The family-owned provider of lumber, hardware, paint, and home improvement solutions said the branch will offer a variety of building materials, including lumber, decking, windows and doors, siding, roofing, and cabinetry to its customers.
Koopman Lumber said over the course of the next year, it plans to expand the location’s showroom to include doors and windows.
“Pembroke is an important region to both Koopman and Massachusetts as a whole,” Koopman Lumber CEO Dirk Koopman said in a prepared statement. “With its picturesque landscape and vibrant population, Pembroke is poised to continue its steady growth and we’re thrilled to support and grow alongside them. The Pembroke location will serve as a key location for KLC as we expand into the South Shore to better support builders, contractors, and homeowners on the coast. The location was what first attracted us but once we had a few meetings, the culture was so in line with Koopman’s we knew it was a winning move.”
With the new location, Koopman now operates 13 facilities, including two distribution centers, across Massachusetts.
