K+R Building Materials will distribute IG Railing from the company’s five Midwest locations. IG Railing is built on a patented spigot that houses a Wi-Fi controlled LED light, holding ½-inch tempered low iron glass.
“Building out a national footprint in order to make our products easy to buy continues to be our priority followed by providing exceptional service and support to our customer base,” Mike Kunard, co-owner of IG Railing, said. “The hard-working team at K+R is a great asset that will bring immediate results to markets that have demonstrated demand for our glass railing system.”
According to IG Railing, the company’s product eliminates the sight obstructions of traditional post and framed rail systems during the day and allows illumination to flow through the system’s panels in the evening.
“Being specialized in outdoor living products, we have been looking for a solution that fits in our supply chain because there is a wealth of demand for view capturing vs. view obstructing railing systems,” K+R president Jeff Johnson said. “We are excited to leverage our sales expertise and distribution centers throughout the Midwest with the product offering from IG Railing, which complements our current product offering to our lumber dealer customers.”
