Iowa Mass Timber Building Is First of Its Kind in U.S.

A new four-story building in Des Moines, Iowa is the first in the United States using an eco-friendly, unique type of mass timber, according to U.S. News & World Report. While there are 200 mass timber buildings across 36 states in the U.S., the Iowa building is the first to use dowel-laminated mass timber.
