ProSales was awarded July 24 the top prize in original research from the American Society of Business Publication Editors for magazines with less than 80,000 circulation. Former executive editor Chris Wood took the prize for "Weathering the Storm," his work on the ProSales 100, published in the May 2007 edition.

"Keep Your Promises" was the cover story for the September 2007 issue. One week earlier, Andy Carlo won gold for ASBPE's central and southeast regions for the original research on "Keep Your Promises," his survey of remodelers in the September 2007 edition. And Wood won another award--a regional bronze--for his staff commentaries.

The May 2007 Issue Featured the ProSales 100 This is the first national ASBPE prize for ProSales since 2005, when it also won a gold. The ASBPE awards is the biggest competition for business publications, receiving more than 2,600 entries this year. ProSales is the only publication serving lumber and building materials to have won an ASBPE editorial award of any type this year.

"Original research has always been a hallmark of ProSales," editor Craig Webb said. "We're thrilled that ASBPE has recognized the great work that Chris and Andy have done this past year. This year's ProSales 100 continued that legacy of excellence, which we have expanded on our print work with our online surveys. In these tough times, more than ever, dealers need the kind of information ProSales reporters are uncovering."
