Hurd Windows and Doors announced today it has acquired SuperSeal Manufacturing Co.; a vinyl window manufacturer in South Plainfield, N.J. Hurd produces custom wood windows and doors.

Hurd president and CEO Dominic Truniger said the acquisition was part of the Medford, Wis.-based company's plan to expand through offering more products "to address the shifting needs of a broad range of construction markets."

"With Super Seal's high-end line of vinyl windows, Hurd is uniquely positioned in the marketplace," said Truniger. "SuperSeal mirrors many of Hurd's core business principles and brand attributes. Like Hurd, they've built their brand on giving customers more."

Following the acquisition, SuperSeal will continue to market its products under the SuperSeal brand and use its existing distribution channels. SuperSeal co-owner Ron Vespa will continue to serve as vice president of the company.
