Amsco Windows The Renaissance Series window from Amsco Windows has the appearance of a painted wood window, but is made from a combination of wood fiber and an acrylic alloy of four resins that is dimensionally stable and will not absorb water, the manufacturer says. The wood-composite window features a coextruded exterior cladding of a medium-gloss, acrylic-based PVC capstock that will not fade, chip, or scratch off. Furthering the Renaissance Series window's real-wood appearance is a wood-veneered interior offered in several species looks that can be stained or painted. Several configurations are available, and custom specialty shapes are easily achieved because of the material's moldability, the maker says.
