As the housing market continues to struggle, Hanley Wood Market Intelligence (HWMI), a sister company to ProSales, has kept lowering its 2011-2015 housing starts forecasts from what it predicted last March and then revised in September. Its latest forecast, issued in December, calls for 668,000 starts in 2012, rising to 795,000 in 2013 and then to 938,000 in 2014. HWMI remains optimistic about 2015's starts (1,097,000).
