Designers Want to Leave Shiplap and All-Gray Interiors in the 2010s

After its peak in popularity during the late 2010s, design professionals are eager to see an end to the modern farmhouse craze, according to Sherwin-Williams.

The 2010s saw the rise of many design trends, including Scandinavian minimalism and modern farmhouse. Several design elements, including all-white kitchens, open concept living, and farmhouse sinks, also came to define the decade. While many of these styles and trends will continue on into the next decade, several, including boho design, all-gray interiors, and shiplap, will be left behind in the 2010s, according to a survey conducted by Sherwin-Williams.
