Lumbermen's Association of Texas

The Lumbermen's Associaiton of Texas (LAT) selected Greg Evans as president of the board of directors and LAT. Evans entered the industry in 1994 working for Redwoods in Waco, Texas, and purchased the company from his parents in 2005.

Evans has served on the executive committee of LAT’s board of directors for two years and is also on his second term as a LUMPAC trustee. He is also a member of the Greater Waco Chamber, the Heart of Texas Builders Association, and the Associated General Contractors of America.

“We are grateful to have Greg’s leadership and excited about what he will accomplish during his tenure,” Mireya Zapata, executive vice president at LAT, said in a news release. “From building strong relationships with elected officials to sharing LAT’s mission with his peers and suppliers, Greg is already a valued partner in the association’s priorities. He will rely on the support of his wife Cynthia and the entire team at Redwoods, Inc. and we thank them for their efforts as well.”

LAT's board of directors elected Evans and the slate of 2020-2021 directors during its May 13, 2020 meeting. Founded in 1886, the LAT is a non-profit trade association based in Austin, Texas, that represents lumber and building material dealers.
