Georgia-Pacific has announced a change in its operations leadership team. Jeff Koeppel, senior vice president of operations for the company, will retire in the first quarter of 2025.

Hudson Pope, currently Georgia-Pacific’s senior vice president for manufacturing, will assume the senior vice president of operations position with the responsibility for all manufacturing segments.

Pope will bring nearly three decades of experience in the pulp and paper industry to the new role. He began his Georgia-Pacific career as a co-op process engineer for the company’s facility in Crosset, Ark., and was promoted to senior vice president of building products operations in December of 2018. In 2023, his role changed to assume responsibility for the company’s packaging and cellulose operations.
