CPG International, whose holdings include AZEK Building Products, announced Aug. 27 that it had acquired TimberTech, a subsidiary of the Crane Group. The move unites two of the biggest manufacturers of composite and PVC decking and sets up a battle with Trex for dominant market share in pro yards.
“We believe this powerful combination will not only create the largest manufacturer in the trim, decking, and railing market, but will also create a premier company in the industry as both entities manufacture highly engineered, outdoor living solution products,” said CPG’s CEO, Eric Jungbluth.
