U.S. hardwood lumber, logs, and veneer exports are subject to a new round of tariffs from the Chinese government, Woodworking Network reports. The tariffs will be implemented in two phases, beginning September 1 and December 15. The new and additional tariffs range from 5% to 10% and impact pine lumber, softwood chips or pellets, pine logs, spruce and fir lumber, and hardwood chips among other products.
