Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) announced that US LBM president and CEO L.T. Gibson was named an Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Southeast Award winner. The award program honors entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies.
Gibson was selected by an independent judging panel made up of previous award winners, leading CEOS, investors, and other regional business leaders. The candidates were evaluated based on their demonstration of building long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact, among other core contributions and attributes. Gibson founded US LBM in 2009 with 13 locations and has helped the company grow to more than 450 locations nationwide.
“The success of US LBM over the past 14 years is due to the efforts of our incredible associates, whose dedication continues to earn the trust and respect of our customers and suppliers and drives us forward each and every day,” Gibson said. “I am incredibly proud of the role we play in building homes and neighborhoods across the country, while creating rewarding careers, furthering sustainability, and giving back to our communities.”
As a Southeast award winner, Gibson is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur of the Year National Awards, which will be announced in November.
