Weyerhaeuser Corp. and West Fraser Timber Co. both announced today personnel changes affecting their lumber operations.

Federal Way, Wash.-based Weyerhaeuser named Larry Burrows senior vice president for wood products. Burrows has spent the past two years as president and chief executive officer of the Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company. At the same time, the executive vice president--forest products position has been eliminated. Tom Gideon, who had held that title, was named head of the company's timberlands business.

In Vancouver, meanwhile, West Fraser announced that Sean McLaren, formerly general manager, wood products for the company's U.S. operations, had been named vice president of U.S. Lumber operations. He will remain at the company's U.S. regional office in Memphis, Tenn.
