Do it Best has appointed Ken Widner as vice president of information technology and chief information officer. Widner succeeds John Mergy as vice president of information technology. Mergy is slated to retire in January 2025.

In his career, he has led transformative projects such as Oracle Retail ERP implementations, AI-driven operational enhancements, and implementing retail and technology solutions during his senior leadership roles at Casey’s, Tailored Brands, and Interstate Batteries.
“Ken Widner’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in helping Do it Best continue to innovate and deliver technology solutions that empower our members to succeed,” Dan Starr, CEO of Do it Best, said. “His proven ability to connect technology with business objectives makes him the ideal leader to guide our IT division into the future.”
