Do It Best Corp. is reformatting its upcoming fall market into a virtual event. The special market, which will feature buying opportunities from the nation’s top vendors, will be available exclusively online from September 13-18, according to Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Do It Best Corp.

“Out of an abundance of caution and in light of the considerable uncertainty caused by the pandemic, we have made the decision to move forward with a virtual format for our fall buying market,” Dan Starr, president and CEO of Do It Best, said in a news release. “The safety of our member-owners, vendors, and staff is of the utmost importance. With the thousands of market attendees traveling from all over the world, it’s simply not possible to maintain appropriate social distancing and implement other necessary safety protocols in a convention center setting.”

According to Do It Best, the virtual market will offer Sneak Peek and special buying opportunities tied to the company’s 75th anniversary. The online event will also feature strategic buying presentations from Do It Best lumber, building materials, and merchandising experts as well as educational training sessions from industry veterans.

“Our spring and fall markets have been must-attend events for our members,” Starr said. “There’s no better way to see the very best of Do It Best than at our markets. While we’ll miss seeing everyone in person this fall, we’re confident our members won’t miss a beat with the virtual version of our market.”

Do It Best’s spring market is planned for May 14-17, 2021 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Do It Best Corp. is a member-owned, fully integrated hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative. The company generates annual sales nearing $4 billion and serves thousands of member-owned locations across the United States and internationally.
