ProBuild Holdings Inc. announced today, June 17, that it has approinted Bill Myrick to become COO of the nation's biggest pro dealer. Myrick will oversee all areas of field operations, supply chain, manufacturing, market development, and gypsum.

Bill Myrick "Over the past 25 plus years in this industry, Bill has built an impressive track record that makes him uniquely qualified for this position within ProBuild," Paul Hylbert, ProBuild's chief executive officer, said in a statement. "He started his career as a manager trainee in a local lumber yard, and since that time has had first-hand experience leading all facets of our industry from operations, purchasing, manufacturing, to sales and marketing."

Myrick joined ProBuild in February 2007 after a long career at 84 Lumber. Before becoming COO, Myrick was president of the ProBuild's Strategic Initiatives group and responsible for all aspects of supply chain, manufacturing, gypsum, and market development.

ProBuild ranks No. 1 on the 2008 ProSales 100, having posted sales of $5 billion in 2007, 90% of them to pros. It operates out of more than 500 locations and has 15,000 employees.
