After announcing several promotions earlier in 2020, hardlines distributor Orgill announced several additional changes to the executive teams at Orgill and Tyndale Advisors. The changes are designed to more closely align Orgill and the efforts of Tyndale Advisors, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Orgill, and Tyndale-operated Central Network Retail Group (CNRG) to provide Orgill and its customers with broader retail insights and support.
Under the new leadership structure, John Sieggreen was named Orgill’s executive vice president of retail, and will continue to serve as the president of CNRG. Phillip Walker, previously Orgill’s senior vice president of merchandising services, assumed the role of president of Tyndale Advisors. Additionally, Chris Freader has been promoted to the position of vice president of merchandising services for Orgill and will lead its conversion, store design, and retail services team.
“We started Tyndale Advisors in 2010 as we began planning for CNRG, which we launched in 2011,” Orgill’s president and CEO Boyden Moore said in a news release. “From the beginning, our plan was to build the management and technical infrastructure that we would need to manage CNRG inside of Tyndale Advisors so that we could share that infrastructure, insight, and tools with all Orgill dealers.”
Memphis, Tenn.-based Orgill serves more than 6,000 retail hardware stores, home centers, professional lumber dealers, and farm stores across the United States.
Collierville, Tenn.-based CNRG currently operates 109 retail stores comprising 16 different brands across the U.S. The company ranked 61st on the 2019 ProSales 100, but the company’s diverse portfolio meant CNRG generated only 25% of its $350.9 million in sales in 2018 from pros. Tyndale Advisors provides management, integrated marketing, and operational support for a number of Orgill dealers, including CNRG.
