Composite decking and railing manufacturer MoistureShield expanded its partnership with building products distributor BlueLinx Holdings. BlueLinx will now distribute the full line of MoistureShield wood composite decking products to dealers in 25 surrounding counties through its Charleston, S.C., distribution center.
“At BlueLinx, our team seeks innovation-driven, low-maintenance products like MoistureShield to keep our dealers ahead of the curve,” Paul Lyle, regional vice president of the Southeast region for BlueLinx, said in a news release. “We’re pleased to offer the full range of MoistureShield products from our Charleston distribution facility to help our customers meet the rising demand for outdoor spaces.”
MoistureShield’s composite decking is made with 95% recycled material and features the Solid Core Difference for advanced strength and moisture resistance, ensuring the products can be installed directly on the ground, in the ground, or under water. All the manufacturer’s decking series products are backed by a 50-year transferable structural warranty. The products to be offered includes MoistureShield’s Vision product line with DiamondDefense Coating and CoolDeck Technology, which reduces deck board surface area by up to 35% compared to conventional capped wood composites, according to the manufacturer.
“MoistureShield is excited to expand our footprint with BlueLinx through their Charleston branch,” Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales for MoistureShield, said. “The coastal environment is a place where MoistureShield’s features and benefits excel, and we are looking forward to showcasing our Solid Core, CoolDeck, and cap technologies there with BlueLinx’s support.
MoistureShield is a division of Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, and its composite decking and railing products are manufactured from 95% recycled content. Marietta, Ga.-based BlueLinx has a distribution footprint serving 50 states and distributes its range of structural and specialty products to approximately 15,000 customers across the United States. BlueLinx began carrying MoistureShield products at its Atlanta and Chicago distribution centers in August 2019 after the two companies entered a distribution partnership.
