Huttig Building Products will distribute Silvermine Stone mortarless stone veneers to its dealer customers in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine from its Augusta, Maine, Hooksett, Mass., and Newington, Conn., locations.
“We are excited to see the explosive growth of Silvermine Stone carry into the northeastern states through Huttig,” Mike Borom, CEO of Silvermine Stone, said in a prepared statement. “Huttig has vast experience launching branded, value-added products in the northeast and has built an outstanding reputation among its customers for service, support, and education. Having the Huttig team behind the brand will further increase the awareness and growth of Silvermine Stone.”
Silvermine Stone is a mortarless stone siding that allows builders, contractors, architects, and homeowners to select a stone veneer for a variety of construction projects without the challenges typically associated with a mortar-applied stone, according to the manufacturer. Silvermine Stone says the product combines the looks of real stone with a simple installation process while uniquely protecting a building’s substrate from moisture.
“We are excited to become a distribution partner with Silvermine Stone siding in the northeast. Silvermine has a unique installation application that sets them apart from other stone siding manufacturers,” Ken Schmidt, executive vice president of Huttig’s northeast region, said. “The addition of Silvermine helps Huttig round out our total siding category to be a complete siding resource for our customers.”
St. Louis-based Huttig distributes its products through 25 distribution centers serving 41 states. The company’s wholesale distribution centers sell principally to building materials dealers, national buying groups, home centers, and industrial users.
