DuraLife by Barrette Outdoor Living is expanding their partnership with Allied Midwest Merchandisers (AMMI) as a full decking and railing distributor. DuraLife has a distribution agreement with AMMI in the midwest territories of South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota from their Sioux Falls, S.D., distribution center.

“AMMI is a premier supplier of high-quality building materials,” Jim Poulin, national sales manager for DuraLife at Barrette Outdoor Living, said in a news release. “We are excited about the partnership that we have established and continue to grow for our DuraLife decking brand in this region.”

Barrette Outdoor Living is a supplier of exterior home products to the residential market and the company produces vinyl, aluminum, steel, and composite products under a variety of leading brand names at 10 locations across the United States. The DuraLife brand, acquired by Barrette Outdoor Living in 2018, operates a 100,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility in Biddeford, Maine and offers composite decking, vinyl, aluminum, and steel railing, and decorative accents. The brand recently expanded its distribution footprint by entering relationships with Hansen Marketing Services in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, Wausau Supply Company in Colorado, and Boise Cascade in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

“DuraLife is a product our customers love, from the affordable price to the unique and easy installation,” Kevin Corcoran, President and CEO of AMMI said. “The timing for adding this powerful decking line to AMMI’s existing portfolio of quality building products could not have been better – we see huge growth potential this year with DuraLife.”

Sioux Falls, S.D.-based AMMI was founded in 1959 by a group of independent lumber dealers and has evolved into a full line two-step wholesaler of lumber and building products.
