Capital Lumber Co. is buying the assets of Snavely Forest Products' distribution branch serving Phoenix, Capital announced. The transfer of goods is expected to be completed by July 31, by which time Capital plans to have consolidated the inventory at its yard on 45th Avenue in Phoenix, the distributor said in a notice dated July 12..
When ProSales Business Update reported July 13 that Snavely's Chandler office was closing, it failed to mention the transfer of assets to Capital. Snavely continues to operate numerous other regional distribution centers nationwide.
