Cameron Ashley Building Products announced the opening of a new building products distribution center in Houston, Texas, according to a news release from the company. The location will serve customers in the Houston metro area and surrounding local markets.
The Houston branch will provide sales, marketing, merchandising, and local inventory support for continued growth in roofing, insulation, and building materials in an established market for the distributor, according to the company. Knauf Insulation, TAMKO Roofing, CertainTeed Roofing, Lomanco Ventilation, and Armstrong Ceilings will be among the key suppliers for the Houston distribution center.
“Houston is a strong market, and we are pleased to continue our focus there,” Aaron Davis, regional vice president for Cameron Ashley Building Products, said in a public statement. “We’re setting up our new facility to best serve our current customers, but also accommodate the needs of new customers.”
The facility is the sixth distribution center Greensville, S.C.-based Cameron Ashley has opened in 2019. The company previously opened distribution centers in Rocky Mount, N.C., and Macedonia, Ohio, in January, a location in Columbia, S.C., in February, and distribution centers in Phoenix, Ariz., and Las Vegas in June.
Cameron Ashley, a company of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, is a distributor of roofing, insulation, gypsum, and other specialty building products with more than 35 distribution centers nationwide. In addition to the six distribution center openings in 2019, Cameron Ashley also announced its acquisition of St. Louis-based distributor Warrior Building Products in late January.
