Beacon Roofing Supply Monday announced the opening of its 200th location. The Myrtle Beach, S.C., facility will operate under the company’s Best Distributing name, offering a product mix that includes roofing, siding, and windows to the North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and southern Virginia markets. It is Beacon’s fourth location in South Carolina and its 24th Best Distributing center.
The Peabody, Mass.-based distributor has opened 28 new branches since going public in 2004. So far this year, the company opened one location in Lake Charles, La., and it acquired six locations in western Pennsylvania via the acquisition of Cassady Pierce, a regional distributor of residential and commercial roofing products.
Beacon ranked third in this year’s ProSales 100, recording $1.88 billion in professional sales. The company reported 192 locations in 2011, up from 178 in 2010.
